I say LA LA LA LAAAAA! LA LA LA LAAAA! LA LA LA LAA LAA LA LAA LAA LA LAAAAAAA!
So I've been watching Pitch Perfect. A lot. Still. I held out for oh, seven months before I bought the soundtrack. I listen to it most mornings as I get ready for work.
I always get choked up at the end when the Bellas are singing their amazing mashup that calls back monumental moments from the group. Silly, right? The choking up starts with the "Price Tag" key change - you know the song is going into "Don't You" and you know she's singing to Jesse. And then he does the slow fist in the air as an acceptance of her apology. Of course the spotlight brightens in the same moment that she throws her fist in the air.
And then I really love how all of the Bellas are jumping around on stage having fun, letting their hair down, and leaving it all on the stage.
Hmm. I think this might be an indicator that I need some girl time.
Anyone up for a pedicure?
Song: The original is "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds, but the version in my head and on my iPod is "Bellas Finals: Price Tag/Don't You (Forget About Me)/Give Me Everything/Just the Way You Are/Party in the U.S.A./Turn the Beat Around" on the Pitch Perfect (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)[Special Edition] (whew!!). Longest. title. ever.
