So, I've had my own apartment since February. And I've been absolutely loving it. I love making it mine. I love the size. I love the tall ceilings. It's perfect for this season.
And of course, I want to document it here.
I'm saving the best for first - the scrap nook. I decided pretty early in the apartment hunt (like, within 2 minutes) that whatever the breakfast area/dining room was would be my scrap nook.
Sigh. I still love those display boards. It's such a bonus that they fit perfectly here. And hey! I had help hanging them this time! No need to straddle two dining room chairs (twice).
The nook is an extension of the living room (I stood on the couch to take the photo above), so it's really open. And I can watch TV and chat with people on the couch or in the kitchen as I'm at the card table.
I've had the two white shelves since junior high. They've served me well! The nook gets great sunlight through the balcony doors plus has really bright track lighting.
I really pared down my stash as I was unpacking (Y was ruthless!). The nook is small enough that everything is almost within arm's reach. But I can easily clear off the table and have plenty of room for a chicken enchilada dinner.
And that's it! My second favorite spot in the apartment. : )
