I've officially been at my new job for 90 days. Just enough time to rustle up some work snippets.
[while talking to my friend at lunch]
Me: Hey, great news - the security guard gave me a coupon to House of Lee yesterday! $5 off of $20!
Her: Really? He told me he liked my shoes.
Me: What? He never gives me compliments!
Her: But he gave you a coupon!
Me: Well, I'd rather have a compliment than a coupon.
[while talking about a vampire TV show with a coworker]
Me: But why did Jason flip out when he drank the vampire blood but Sookie didn't flip out when she drank Bill's blood?
Him: I don't know.
Me: It just doesn't make sense.
Him: But it's fiction. You can't reconcile it.
Me: But that's what I do. It is literally my job. I've made a whole career out of reconciling!!
[break room chat with Bill while Matt stands by]
Me: Do you work with Matt? Because he hardly ever works.
Matt: Oh! She's got jokes today!
[with my lunchmate]
Me: That guy always says hi to me. I've only met him that one time.
Him: He says hi to everyone.
Me: So I'm not special?
Him: You are...just not to him.

[Journaling] 1. roosters in the backyard 2. Pintail Wildlife Drive 3. it doesn't get better than a giggling girl 4. except for maybe a fried boudin ball 5. til they come home
Look at all of that sewing! I did FOUR passes on each of the grid lines, two in white and two in coral, and two coral lines around the hearts. My curves aren't perfect (ha!), but this is the new laid-back Angela, right?
Can we just mention how much I love grid pages? I can only go so long without doing a grid page before I start to itch. Kind of like I get with ribs.
Happy Friday!
