I avoided Brussels sprouts for the first 26 years of my life (thanks, Mom!). They have a bad rap, you know? Like, "Ooh, these are disgusting! Try them!" Nah.
But a few years ago, I heard a story on NPR (Dave occasionally forces me to listen to it) where this lady was waxing on about how delicious they are. I decided to keep trying them until I learned to like them.
My first attempt was at a work function at the country club. They were sauteed with onions and bacon, and they had me fooled. 1. Food at country clubs is supposed to be good, right? 2. Everything with bacon is good, right? No on both counts.
My second attempt was at home with a balsamic reduction. No again.
This recipe was my third attempt, and I actually crave them. : )
Just roast at 425 for 15 minutes with sea salt and olive oil.

Enjoy!
